Building Control Approval is likely to be required even if Planning Permission is not needed. Full Plans Application (Link) The project is fully designed and  plans drawn.  Full plans and accompanying design paperwork are submitted for approval.  The process can take up to eight weeks for the application to be determined. Building Notice (link) Where the works are of a small scale or need to be started immediately, the works can be undertaken on a Building Notice and the design developed as work proceeds.
